My Winter Fashion Essentials

18 November 2018

It looks like it's going to be so much colder this week and that gives me nothing but Christmas vibes! I know it isn't winter yet but I thought I'd write this post to give you some inspiration maybe for your Christmas lists or if you're looking to update your winter wardrobes and want to know my signature capsule items.

A big warm coat
Especially in Winter, a coat is so important as we spend most of our time in it and it covers up our outfits so to me, it needs to look good. My favourite style of coat at the moment is the teddy coat because they are so warm and look so cool with anything! But for a more formal option (I still wear it whenever) is my check coat from Primark that I dedicated a whole blog post to last month. This beautiful 70s esque one I'm wearing in all of these photos is from Zara a couple of years ago and it still looks brand new!
If you can, it's so great to buy more expensive coats from places like Zara and Topshop as the ones I've had from there last so well and I bring them out every year, they never seem to go out of style.

A simple or statement pair of boots
I'm normally such a trainer person and that's literally all I wear but this year I branched out (lol) and bought a pair of leopard print boots, you've probably already seen them on my instagram! They are so amazing and great to wear for an occasion or if you want to spice up an outfit.

A fine knitted jumper... but to be more specific, a black fine knitted jumper
I only bought one a couple of weeks ago £6 from Primark and I now have realised how much my wardrobe was missing it. I wear it with everything! Sometimes I prefer to wear a fine knitted jumper over a big knit especially when wearing a midi skirt as they tuck in a lot better. I never used to wear black tops but now I'm a bit obsessed, such a go-to.

The perfect party dress or christmas day dress
Every winter I'm always on the look out for an outfit that I can wear to christmas events/family gatherings but my favourite thing to be on the hunt for, is my christmas day dress! I'm loving all the sequins this year and I saw the best glittery dress that would look like you were an angel but it's £50 from Bershka and I'm not sure it's worth that if I wasn't going to wear it on a weekly basis. I will however let you know via my insta story (@bepbeee) when I find one I love that's not breaking the bank, let me know if you want me to share a collection!

Something mustard
Such a random essential but in the winter, mustard is one of my favourite colours in any form: a bobble hat, skirt or jumper. It looks so great with grey or navy as they are quite neutral and simple but a pop of mustard adds something to an outfit to make it stand out. Mustard will never go out of style and I will wear it year after year.
