Style Q&A

18 September 2018

Hey everyone!

It's been such a long week! I started Year 10 last Friday and since then it has been pretty full on, I've missed writing on here so much.
This post has been planned for nearly a month as I got too excited and asked for questions straight away. I love having a bit of chat, especially about fashion and my personal style so really its the perfect post for me!

Tips for finding your own personal style? @flolavita

I think this is actually something I think about a lot as I worry that I don't have a personal style. However, my style is so different everyday that I then think that there isn't such a thing as 'having your own personal style'. I buy a certain item of clothing because I love it not because all my clothes should have a pattern or 'go together in a category'.
So, my advice would be to buy what you want, wear it how you like it and live your life without the worry having a personal style, if that does actually exist.

Favourite shop? @holly_allwright

I am loving Topshop at the moment! I mean when am I not, but all of their 'new in' section is just making its way to my wish list. The jeans, culotte dungarees (you'll be seeing them soon!), jumpers and I know they will last for ages!  I can't name just one because I love so many so Zara, Mango, Bershka and Pull & Bear are all high up there too.

What Autumn trend are you most excited about trying? @baileealexia

This is such a hard question! The Autumn/Winter fashion this year is so SO good and I honestly am so sad that my bank account won't stretch that little further haha. One trend that I surprising love is leopard print. I used to hate leopard print when I was younger and I never in a million years thought I would love it and wear it. It's so strange how seeing people style it and items of clothing or accessories in that pattern completely changed my opinion on it!
I am also loving denim boiler suits and I think they look so cool with chunky trainers which is a huge trend at the moment. I got a pair from Bershka for my birthday and I love how they look with everything!

How do you keep up with fashion on a budget? @thisismegan_

Most of money I earn goes on clothes as that's what I love to buy and I have the want to keep up with the latest styles and trends. But obviously I do have to be careful, about how much I spend and I do want to buy smart. You could buy little and invest in really good pieces of clothing that you would wear year upon year or buy lots for less money e.g from Primark. By investing I don't mean spending £100 on a top as I buy from Topshop (things from there aren't that cheap compared to Primark) and things last me such a long time that I bring out every season. I also save up to buy things I've been liking for ages which makes you buy less but also buy things you know you will love and get the wear out of.
I think I might start talking more about what I buy and sharing what is in Primark to show that you don't need to spend lots of money to keep up with the trends, would you like that? I could also write so much more about this so I might make it into a separate blog post!

Shorts or skirts? @lavintlane

Definitely skirts. There are so many different styles: denim, midi, maxi, mini, printed or plain, the list is endless. My favourite at the moment are midi skirts, I love wearing them with jumpers and trainers in the Autumn/Winter.

Thank you so much to everyone who sent in questions, I loved writing the answers! I would have included more but didn't want to make this post too long! Have a lovely week!
