Starting My Blog Young And Writing Forever

20 February 2018

Hey everyone! Hope you've had a lovely start to your week.

This July my blog will be three years old and I started it when I was only 11 at the end of year 6. Never did I ever think that it would be what it is today and I'm so grateful that it has become something that I don't want to stop.
I thought today I would share why I started my blog and reasons why I never would want to hit that 'delete blog' button.

It's always quite hard to pinpoint an exact reason on why I started my blog. I've always been a lover of fashion and clothes (however, looking back now I ~have~ made some odd outfit choices that I'm not the best proud of!) and seeing other people on youtube talk about what I love made me realise that I could kind of do the same. Except, I write instead of film and I think I'd like to keep it that way. Also, in 2015 I read a book (that most of you would have heard about) called Girl Online by Zoe Sugg and it's so cliche to say but that really did inspire me after reading about Penny's story.

When I started blogging back in 2015 on Wordpress, I found it so weird to think that actual people were reading what I was writing. It was a thing I did once in a while but I loved every second of it. Then that year in December I changed over to Blogger (where I am now) and I launched it in February 2016 with serious determination, planned blog posts and consistent uploading. It's not all about the numbers at all but it's so true that when you put in effort it really does pay off.

Fastforwarding two years, I'm still loving it as much as I was when I started. It has taught me so much, even broadening my vocabulary when trying to think of more and more adjectives to describe products and clothes! Last October I attended my first blogging event and that was a total pinch me moment, still can't believe it!

I would love to continue blogging for as long as can. I am surrounded by so many inspiring people everyday that spur me on and support me and I couldn't be more thankful for that.
It felt somewhat strange starting off blogging but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Bethan xx
