How To Get Motivated And Be Productive

23 April 2017

Hey everyone! Hope you're all well :)

At the start of 2017 I said to myself that this year I was going to procrastinate less and be a lot more motivated, so today I'm going to share some of my tips on those two topics!

Plan, plan, plan
I find it so much easier to be productive when I make a list of things I need to get done and plan a schedule for that particular day. Then, you know what you're doing and you're not going to sit on your phone for half an hour wondering what bit of homework to get on with first, as I'm pretty sure we've all done that.

Turn all devices off
You're not going to get anywhere with a phone in front of you when you're trying to do that bit of revision before a test the next day. This one is really difficult for me and I definitely think I need to take my own advice! Whenever I get a notification when someone has uploaded a video or I get a message, I have the urge to look at it and watch the video but then I instantly regret it because I haven't got any further with the work I'm supposed to be doing. So by turning your phone off, you get more work done!

Have a tidy work space
When you have a messy desk it doesn't give you any motivation to do your work at all. Tidying your room and desk will help you to do your work and it will also give you a tidy mind too.

Incentives for after
Whilst your revising or doing homework, it makes you feel so much more motivated and determined to get it done when you have something to look forward to. It doesn't have to be a big thing, it could be the feeling of having no homework left to do this weekend or a nice bubble bath that evening. But that thing could help you to get through your homework quicker if you have planned something fun to do afterwards.

I hope some of these tips helped you if you have your GCSE's or A levels soon or any other test/homework. Good luck, you'll all do amazing!
